END OF ROLLS COUTURE FABRICS

In 2017, Claire presented her first "NYC by Night" Collection. Inspired by her long bike rides at night to return from Parsons School or the restaurant where she worked, through the avenues of Manhattan, to the sound of Ibrahim Maalouf's incredible trumpet in her ears, Claire travels the city imagining sleeves in the shape of Chrysler Building ... Empire State Building coats ... corsets of small lighted windows and skirts, flowing pants in the color of the sky.

The collection was made exclusively from recycled fabrics from French couture brands (Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Sonia Rykiel ..) using a Japanese pattern making technique.

Claire showcased her collection at The Collective x Designow show and received the Parsons Jury Award, she also received the Rising Star Award from Runway the Real Way ( an organization that strives for diversity and sustainability in the fashion industry)

at the Times Square Novotel on Earth Day,

Claire then takes her first steps in a more responsible creative fashion.

BANKERS 'SHIRTS
AND RED WINE

ô pure

The O Pure collection presents the impact of the textile industry on rivers around the world.

It connects white-collar workers in finance to blue-collar workers in factories.

The financial world is represented by the white shirt collected from bankers. Too often thrown away or put aside for a broken collar or a damaged sleeve, Claire decides to give it a more responsible second life in this collection.

Claire for this collection will collect unused bottles of red wine, opened for presentations, from Mahler-Besse  a French distributor in New York.

Another strong symbol of this collection, with which she will dye the shirts and over-cycles of the Theory brand for which she worked as a Junior Designer .

The purpose of red wine dyeing is to demonstrate that it is possible to dye fabrics in a natural or responsible way without polluting the surrounding rivers. It is also the color of the blood, that of the workers left behind when making clothes for Fast Fashion.

Claire will be selected among the 10 international finalists to present her collection in Hong Kong, for the Redress Design Award in 2017. She will also participate in the second season of the Frontline Fashion 2 documentary series in which she can be followed from New York to Hong Kong.

HERITAGE

LINEN AND vintage SHEETS

For this collection, Claire started from vintage sheets made by her great-grandmothers (unused because they are unsuitable for the size of the beds today) and linen coupons printed with old photos of family vacations on the beaches of Dinard in Brittany.

The complexity of the collection was to assemble printed square coupons of limited size with antique linens to create the desired silhouettes while ensuring the multiplicity of sizes.

The entire collection has been handcrafted in limited quantities by Claire in her workshop in the Paris region.

Claire received the Redress Design Alumni Award 2018 in Hong-Kong for the Heritage Collection. The collection was sold in the Kapok concept store in Hong-Kong and in a pop-store in New-York .
